How Can You Help?
Ted and Alice were once happily in love. They dated for six years and the time spent together was bliss – it seemed like they were perfect for each other and after careful consideration, the duo decided to get married. As the honeymoon phase ended, the realities of life came knocking and arguments, disagreements, and deep insecurities drove them apart. The most prominent of their issues were the inability to agree on spending. Ted liked to live lavishly and never really thought about savings or investment, while Alice was a planner and careful spender.
Once deeply in love, their journey took a heartbreaking turn due to financial disagreements. Now, imagine the transformative power of financial literacy—the tool that could have rewritten their story and given their marriage bond a much-needed second chance. Unfortunately, this is only the tip of the iceberg. We have also encountered couples who get married not for love but to exploit their partner’s hard-earned money. Unsavoury motives that come to light later on often end up sullying the cheated person’s idea of love. It scares them for life and affects their ability to trust. They leave marriage with hurt feelings and a dim view of marriage.
Our Work
Marriages shape individuals, families, and communities. Strong marriages of today are foundation for future generations that will carry on our legacy. They create homes filled with love, security, and positive environments for children to thrive. Whether or not you realize it, this affects us all. Children are scarred everyday with unwanted traumas just because they are being brought up in unhappy homes.
Marriage is a positive event. We can train people to come into marriage with the same understanding of what the family money will be spent on and a common understanding about saving and investing. This can be accomplished by education and information into the hands of people that are planning to become married.
